Covid 19 Update

Dear HCC Family,
We miss you! Like you, Vickie and I long for us to be able to meet together
again as a church family. I am sure you are aware that our Governor, Rick
DeSantis, announced yesterday that Broward County can implement a
phase one re-opening beginning Monday, May 18th. We are thrilled that
we are getting closer to being able to meet together. However, our desire
is to make sure that we can open in a way that is safe for our HCC family.
We hope to share our re-opening plans with you in the near future.
We admit that these are unprecedented times. Presently, we are
navigating through circumstances that none of us have ever experienced.
It would be dishonest of me to pretend like we know what we are
supposed to do. Like everyone else, we are learning as we go.
Please be assured that we are in communication with state and local
government leaders, the Broward County Church United leadership as well
as many local pastors. More importantly, though, we are spending time in

prayer seeking God’s wisdom and direction as to when we should re-
open. Here are a few steps we have taken as we move toward re-opening.

  1. We have established a HCC Corona Virus Task Force. The group is
made up of local medical professionals and church leadership. They
are working through all of the issues that need to be resolved before
    we can re-open.
  2. We have greatly enhanced our online technology. Although we did
not live stream our services before the quarantine, we will be ready to
offer our church family a quality live stream whenever we re-open.
  3. We are making strategic plans as to how we will re-open.
Obviously, our services will be different when we return. We will
probably offer multiple services of smaller crowds, space out the
congregation to assure social distancing, have services for adults only
and services for families, and require face masks of all our attenders.
  4. Our facilities team has a game plan for detailed cleaning after
each service to make sure the facilities are clean and safe for your
  5. The Church office will remain closed. Most of our staff has been
working from home and will continue to do so. However, we are
always available. You can reach us by phone at 954-322-4302 or via
    email –
  6. Please continue to watch our services online. The best place to
watch the service is on our web site –
  7. We have established a COVID-19 relief fund. If you have lost your
job, been furloughed or are experiencing COVID-19 related expenses,
    please let us know.
Once again, please know you and your family are important to us. If I can
do anything for you, you can contact me at You are in
    our thoughts and prayers.
